My work returns to a connected set of questions: What makes something real? What explains it? How can freedom be genuine? What can the world disclose about God? And what would it mean for a person to find fulfillment in communion?

The Catholic tradition supplies both commitments and a rich field of arguments. I draw on its different voices while keeping doctrine, philosophical demonstration, historical interpretation, and constructive proposals distinct. A promising distinction should earn its place by helping explain something.

This website gathers the work at different scales: introductory essays, sustained research projects, and resources for study and prayer. The Participation atlas is available now; the larger Being-First manuscript continues to develop.

The questions I return to

  • Participation and creation
  • Divine simplicity and freedom
  • Knowledge and revelation
  • Persons and communion
  • Miracles and testimony
  • Prayer and the Rosary

A good place to begin

The Participation atlas brings many of these questions together. For a shorter entrance, start with the introductory writing.
